Cleaning scope and limits

Basic water wash

Headstone, carved areas, flower holders, incense tray and the enclosed area are washed.

Moss and dark staining

Optional compatible chemical treatment starts from JPY 8,000 before tax after a test area.

Conditions that may remain

Internal stains, efflorescence, deep rust, lost sheen and faded lettering may not be restored.

Separate specialist work

Multiple stones, plots over two tsubo, sites without water or with difficult access, structural repair, polishing, tilt correction and re-engraving are quoted separately. Any extra work and price are explained for approval before it starts.

Start with three photographs

  1. 01

    Send photos

An overview, front view and close-up of the main concern are useful.

  2. 02

    Review the preliminary scope

We indicate the likely size category and separate optional work.

  3. 03

    Confirm and clean

The final amount follows site confirmation, then cleaning starts with mild methods.

  4. 04

    Receive the report

We send photographs of the completed work and any condition that remains.

Cleaning and grave-visiting service

When you cannot visit in person, we can wash the headstone and enclosed plot, collect leaves and rubbish, and report with before-and-after photographs. Water-wash plans are JPY 12,000 for a standard plot and JPY 20,000 for a larger plot, before tax; the final scope is confirmed from photographs and the site.

Our work standard

Start with the gentlest method

We begin with water and soft tools and increase treatment only after checking the stone.

Protect inscriptions and joints

We avoid aggressive abrasion where it could damage lettering, polished surfaces or joints.

Stop when safety is uncertain

Loose stones, severe cracking, hornets, lightning, strong wind or extreme heat may require postponement or a specialist.

Photographic report

We document the agreed area before and after work without publishing names or inscriptions.

For people cleaning it themselves

Start with water, a soft cloth or brush and test a small area. Avoid household acid or chlorine cleaners, wire brushes, pressure washing close to inscriptions, and standing on unstable stones. Stop if any stone moves or cracks are visible.

Service area

We mainly serve graveyards around Yukuhashi, Kanda and Miyako. Ask us about Kitakyushu and other nearby locations.

Grave-cleaning questions

Must I attend?

Not necessarily, if the location and the cemetery manager's permission requirements are confirmed. We report the work with before-and-after photographs.

Is a photo estimate final?

No. It is an initial indication. The final amount follows a site check, and any additional work and price are explained for approval before it starts.

Will every stain disappear?

No. Some internal stains, efflorescence, rust and loss of sheen may remain.

What if a stone is loose or unstable?

Cleaning is stopped if a stone is unstable. Repair is separate work, and specialist stonework outside our scope is referred to a stone mason.

Will work continue in dangerous weather or near a hornet nest?

No. We postpone work when heatstroke risk is high or when lightning, strong winds, a hornet nest or another hazard is present.

Which areas do you serve?

We mainly serve graveyards around Yukuhashi, Kanda and Miyako. Ask us about Kitakyushu and other nearby locations after confirming the cemetery address.

Tell us what is happening

You do not need to know the exact cause or service name. A photo and a short description will help us understand the situation.
